Government Promises to Simplify “Internet of Thing” Device Entry Permit (KOMPAS)

A survey conducted by the Asia IoT Business Platform said that the development of the Internet of Thing (IoT) in Indonesia is in the middle of a rising graph.

Even from the survey, 91.1 percent of companies in Indonesia have carried out digital transformation. Responding to this, the government as a regulator promised to continue to boost IoT penetration in Indonesia.

One way that will be done is to facilitate licensing for IoT devices that will enter the homeland. "We will take care so that the IoT device's time approval can be processed in a shorter time so that the device can enter faster," said Ismail, Director General of SDPPI Ministry of Communication and Information in the keynote speech opening the Asia IoT Business Platform in Jakarta, Tuesday (08/28/2018 ).

The government is indeed focusing on the IoT implementation roadmap in Indonesia itself. According to Ismail, there are at least three important issues that must be resolved regarding IoT implementation.
