The Asia IoT Business Platform (AIBP) event focuses on the Indonesian 4.0 initiative. The event which took place at The Ritz Carlton Kuningan, also included discussion of the 4.0 industry, Smart City and Digital Economy, Wednesday (8/28).
Not only that, AIBP also highlighted the challenges faced by local companies and public service agencies in adopting and implementing IoT, as well as in completing digital transformation projects.
“The latest developments and major initiatives in the technology industry are also discussed,” said Irza Fauzan Suprapto, Director of AIBP as reported by his official statement.
Furthermore, based on a survey conducted by AIBP of 1,624 business professionals and information technology in Southeast Asia, states companies are required to adopt digital technology in order to remain competitive.
Indonesia’s growth in terms of innovation, IoT ranks second at 23% below Malaysia at 28%. In the same period in 2016, Indonesia only achieved 10% growth.
Then, Malaysia and the Philippines both occupy the third and fourth positions with growth of 18%. Vietnam ranks last with a growth rate of 13%.
While in terms of the implementation of IoT in ASEAN, the industrial sector ranked at the top with a growth of 42%, followed by the banking sector, financial services and insurance by 24%.
