Dian Rachmawan, enterprise and business service director at Telkom Indonesia, and Sanny Iskandar, chairman of the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association, signed a memorandum of understanding on the provision and development of telecommunication, information, media, edutainment & services in Jakarta on Thursday (28/06).
The signing ceremony was also attended by Industry Minister Airlangga Hartanto, who explained in his speech that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo launched the Making Indonesia 4.0 program to help the country better compete in the global market in the digital era.
“For that, Telkom has an important role in supporting the development of digital infrastructure, especially the provision of fiber optic networks and other infrastructure, while maintaining reliability and security,” Airlangga said.
“This cooperation is a manifestation of Telkom’s commitment to help advance Indonesia’s industrial sector by digitizing Industrial Zone to Industrial Estate 4.0 and to add value to both entities in a sustainable manner,” Dian said.
Judi Achmadi, executive vice president of Telkom’s enterprise service division, said key factors of the so-called fourth industrial revolution are the digitization of products and services, the internet of things that enables interconnectivity between people, objects and machines, and the utilization of big data and automation.
