A smart city encompasses the use of technology and connectivity to optimize public services including healthcare and education, improve traffic congestions and infrastructure, safety and security, as well as ensure environmental sustainability. New and emerging technology will increase public engagement, enable effective decision-making and provision of public services, and ultimately improve the efficiency and resilience of governance and public services.
